Miss Pooja Amar Lakhwani – Early Years 1 Teacher

Behind every inspired learner is a teacher who guides them with care and dedication. This week, we shine our Teacher Spotlight on Miss Pooja, whose journey with international curriculum schools began in 2016.

Throughout the years, Miss Pooja has taught students from early years, an experience that has allowed her to adapt to diverse learners and embrace the joy of teaching across grade levels. “I have been teaching in an international curriculum since 2016. Over the years, I have taught students across different grade levels, from early years to junior college, which has given me the opportunity to be flexible and adapt to a wide range of learners.”

When it comes to education, Miss Pooja lives by a simple yet powerful philosophy:
“You don’t always have to be the best, but what truly matters is the effort you put in and the determination to give your personal best.”

A big part of her teaching passion is encouraging students to see English as more than just a subject. By connecting it to hobbies and everyday life, Miss Pooja helps learners build confidence while enjoying the process. “I encourage students to see English not just as a subject, but as a tool to explore the world. I motivate them to read stories that interest them, watch movies or shows in English with subtitles, and practice conversations in a fun, natural way.”

For Miss Pooja, achievements are not just certificates or titles—they are seen in the growth of her students. “One of my achievements is the progress I see in my students, whether it’s a child gaining the confidence to speak up in class, or improving their academic performance, or developing a genuine love for learning.” Her adaptability and commitment have also been recognized, as she has been consistently trusted to teach across different grade levels and subjects.
