Batik Through a Young Creative’s Eyes

Batik is more than a traditional textile. It is part of Indonesia’s identity and cultural heritage, passed down from one generation to the next. 🇮🇩

For Aura, a Middle School student at BINUS SCHOOL Surabaya, batik is also a source of inspiration. Through fashion design, she explores her creativity and expresses herself by bringing batik-inspired ideas to life.

Each of her creations reflects her imagination, while allowing her to discover her own creative voice. Her journey shows how the younger generation can appreciate and carry forward cultural heritage in their own unique ways.

We greatly appreciate Aura and her family for nurturing her passion and supporting her creative journey from such a young age.
